Service Description

Join ceramics artist Jenny Buelin for this evening workshop. Create functional ceramics inspired by the textures, patterns, and quiet stories found in the natural world. In this 1-day workshop, you will create a collection of handcrafted ceramic ornaments inspired by the textures of the season. All experience levels are welcome and no prior clay experience is required. Especially designed for kids 8 years old and up! Every surface tells a story. We often remember places and moments through texture before we remember them through words. The veins of a leaf, the weathered grain of wood, a favorite piece of fabric, or the intricate pattern of lace can all become part of a finished ceramic work. Nature is full of wonderful textures just waiting to be discovered. Create a collection of one-of-a-kind ceramic ornaments inspired by the natural world. Explore texture, pattern, carving, and color while designing ornaments that reflect your own interests and creativity—from botanical designs to woodland themes, stars, birds, mushrooms, and more. Each participant will leave with a unique collection ready to become part of their family's holiday traditions. (Participants typically create 4–6 ornaments.) All supplies and kiln firing included in ticket price!
